Jammy Egg

Jammy Egg is my brochure TTRPG about hunting for cliffside eggs in the 7 minutes it takes for your IRL egg to soft boil.

Instead of waiting around the stovetop, watching the pot boil, get out there and adventure for your egg. This color brochure and associated character sheet have everything you need to start:

• Four sections of cliff to scale down: top, face, wave cut, and beach, before you grab your seabird egg, each with two paths and unique challenges.
• How to Play + Example of Play for new players. It's a fairly simple game, don't worry, just power through before the boiling egg is ready!
• Setup section that includes recipe for a perfectjammy egg.
• Victory spoils for pairing your jammy egg with trait-specific sauces and flavors.
• Space for journaling and strategizing about your cliff journey.

This game was inspired by the Irish struggle during Black '47 and the desire for games that reward you with food at the end. What are we if not little mice in hats, pressing buttons until we get umami reward.  It was designed for the One-Page RPG Jam 2022

Some things you can do in Jammy Egg:

• Approach twins, one who lies and one who tells the truth, punch both of them, and receive Old Bay seasoning as a reward!
• Rush against your egg timer to craft anti-crab footwear!
• Curse the English and their role in the Great Hunger!
• Gift a semi-feral seabird to your sailor husband!
• Taste new egg combinations after a quick game!
• Start your breakfast with a deeper exploration of how difficult food can be to collect, and what it means to struggle for a square meal. This game does not have that much to say, but maybe your game will spark some conversations or considerations you hadn't previous thought of.
